The Residence

Harrods Cha House

For level two of Cha House, the team intertwined international luxury with local accents of Shanghai.

From wall panels inspired by Chinese fans to the brass Chinese-deco detailing of the columns, the design worked to blend a sense of place with the elevated sense of refinement that sets a Harrods experience apart.

Each individual hospitality suite has a unique character and was created to give members a highly personalized and exclusive space to indulge or entertain. Curated selections of fine cigars and top-self spirits blend with artwork from the Halcyon Gallery. Each space has been meticulously curated, from integrating the original floor tiles to the custom-made Murano glass lights and gold leaf ceiling in the women’s powder room.

Working closely with the operations team, SOCIAL F+B developed a design that was ideally suited to a Gordon Ramsey experience, both aesthetically and functionally. Each element of the guest journey and service delivery was considered as a holistic package.

We believe good design isn’t just about how something looks, it’s about how it works, how it feels, and what it makes possible.
