Butcher Box

Butcher Box, a neighborhood Gourmet Butchery offering premium meats, sausages, and wild seafood, is designed to provide an elevated retail experience while maintaining its core identity. This second retail shops occupies a preexisting site that housed another business.

The interior design strategy was driven by a thorough location and site analysis to gain a comprehensive understanding of the accessibility, visibility, potential foot traffic on the promenade and the local community demographics. Our approach not only introduced a fresh new look but also incorporated highly functional features.

Taking advantage of the foot traffic, the facade was redesigned with gentle curves that naturally guide circulation inward, creating an intuitive entrance into the space. Brand elements were strategically placed, such as entrance signage, animal pictographs, and branded mosaic tile flooring align with Butcher Box’s unique identity and visual guidelines. An integrated dry aging window offers passersby a glimpse into Butcher Box’s offerings, creating a storytelling moment.

Inside the retail space, spatial flow was optimized to ensure a comfortable shopping experience while allowing staff to provide efficient service. A butcher’s cutting block was placed next to the cashier to serve a dual purpose, provide a seamless checkout experience while also dubbing as a strategic display area for feature products.
